We’re pleased to continue our Summer Bandstand season on each Saturday afternoon in July 4-6pm. Enjoy live music from talented local performers, hosted by our friend and musician Edwin Addis.
So far this July we have welcomed Gareth Haze, Compound Radius, the Speak Out in Hounslow Choir, Steve Brewin, Andrea Black and Nicole Hines. And on the 19th we’re looking forward to seeing Elaine Samuels, Steve Hutchinson and Shady Grove.
Elaine has been performing her own songs in clubs, at festivals and even on television since the early 1990s. She progressed from only playing solo to performing in other line-ups too and her electrifying prog folk rock band provides the fullest expression of her own, powerful material; with her "haunting and beautiful" vocals and rhythm guitar and, from the other band members, harmonies, awesome electric violin or guitar, flute and saxophone playing and driving bass and drums
Melodic soft rocker Steve Hutchinson started his music career later than most - 50 to be precise! But he's been making up for lost time, fronting the UK's premier Moody Blues tribute band for 7 years and, since 2014, releasing 5 solo albums, 4 ‘Camel Thieves’ EPs and one ‘Polar4’ album - with 'HONESTY AND CHOCOLATE' his latest to be released NOW in 2025! Described by Moody Blues Legend Ray Thomas as having "a great voice", Steve is that rare combination - a singer who will touch your heart with songs that will stir your soul.
Rooted in the Grove Park area of Chiswick, Shady Grove combine the acoustic tones of the mandolin, ukulele, guitar and bass. Add in vocal harmonies and you have music which ranges from traditional Irish reels to modern classics; from the Band to Crowded House, Lindisfarne and Tom Petty.
This year, the Friends are raising funds for Speak Out in Hounslow, a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Speak Out empowers people to express themselves and take an active role in the community. Please consider donating to help their incredible work continue. You can find our fundraising page here.
Always check Lemonrock, our website and Facebook page for updates. There’ll be deck chairs and cushions available, or feel free to bring your own seating or picnic blanket. We hope the shade from our parasols and gazebos will be welcome too!
