Discover the Bats of Brentford!

Chiroptera in the Belfry?

That's bats, to you and me!  But to have a chance to see this protected species locally, do join the walk organised by the Friends of Watermans Park, on Wednesday May 14 from 8pm.

There's no guarantee that these shy, nocturnal creatures will reveal themselves, but you will enjoy a presentation at the Digital Dock in the High Street, followed by a stroll to St Lawrence's Church where bats may be hiding, then through St Paul's Rec where bats have been seen during the past week, and finishing at Watermans Park.
This walk will be guided by Habitats and Heritage, and local historians will be on hand to add perspective.

You can register your interest in this free-to-attend talk and walk here.

If you are interested in becoming a 'Friend' of Watermans Park or just in receiving updates about the park and Friends events please complete this form.

The Friends have ambitious plans for 2025.  As well as hosting interesting talks there will be live free-to-attend music in Watermans Park at Summer Bandstands on July weekends, and the Friends are currently seeking funding to create a community garden in the park close to the eastern entrance.
